This is not a GameData mod. It is a separate program that runs on your computer next to KSP and reads the game through kRPC. Do not put it in GameData. Nothing in it sends a flight command to the game.
A telemetry overlay in the style of the Starship webcasts, made for the Starship Expansion Project Starship on its Super Heavy booster. It does not work with other rockets. Use it on screen or capture it in OBS.

What it shows
- Flight bar: countdown clock, curved timeline, engine dots with a propellant ring, a 3D dial with the Starship on its booster, speed and altitude. The layout changes through stage 1, stage separation and flight, and the real separation is detected from the data.
- Moving flaps: the ship's four flaps in the dial follow the real ones.
- Re-entry glow: the heat shield glows on the way down (still a work in progress).
- Automatic markers: maneuver nodes, RE-ENTRY and LANDING BURN.
- Static-fire bar: a small bar for the pad with engines, clock, thrust and throttle.
- One overlay window, so OBS captures a single window.
- Honest data: mock data is always labelled MOCK, and a lost or stale feed says so.
Dependencies
- kRPC 0.6.0 (exactly this version): the data comes from it. The newest release (0.7.0) does not work with this app.
- Starship Expansion Project: the rocket this is made for (Block 3, 3.3.2).
- Python 3.11+ on Windows: then
pip install -r requirements.txt and python run_ground_station.py.
- Sol Quarter Scale (only for the map): the map plots your position on Earth. On stock Kerbin leave it off.
The full list of mods for the pad and the tower is in the README.
How to start
- Install the mods above and start the kRPC server in KSP.
- Unzip the download anywhere, open a terminal in the folder and run
pip install -r requirements.txt, then python run_ground_station.py.
- It connects by itself. No game at hand? Pick mock data in the Data & Test tab.
