Welcome to the official Phaeton Remake, built from scratch by MI LABS!

After a lot of hard work with my international team (shoutout to romankermandevy and kerbalmissile!), we’ve finally squashed all the bugs, stabilized the terrain textures, and fixed the lighting flickering issues. We even ran an exclusive live stress test with streamer @caelumsfs, and it was a blast!

What’s in this mod:

  • Phaeton (The Lava Moon): A dense, unforgiving "Super-Mun."
  • 4500K Lava Oceans: Yes, there is real thermal damage! If you land your ship or rover in the lava, they’ll be vaporized. (Note: Jeb might try to swim during the day due to a funny Unity engine glitch, but just wait for nightfall... the custom physics will launch your Kerbals into deep space before they melt! lol).
  • Custom Science Text: Fully customized, fun text logs for Crew Reports, Temperature Scans, and Seismic Scans. Try running science experiments on the surface and see what happens!
  • Balanced Gravity: Fixed since the live stream! Gravity is now set to a playable 0.4g (same as the Mun), allowing you to actually achieve orbit and escape without using the cheat menu.

Installation:

  1. Download the zip file.
  2. Extract and drag the phaeton folder directly into your KSP GameData directory. Simple and automatic!

Created by Migue (Director), romankermandevy, and kerbalmissile. Developed by MI LABS.
