Volumetric Clouds Performance Fix is a lightweight configuration tweak designed specifically for players who love the stunning visuals of Blackrack's EVE Volumetric Clouds but suffer from severe frame-rate drops (Lag) and micro-stutters when flying through dense weather layers, fog, or storms.
If you are playing on a mid-range PC, a budget gaming laptop, or integrated graphics, this fix is exactly what you need to reclaim your performance without sacrificing the beautiful cloud shapes!
By targeting only the most resource-heavy rendering calculations that happen under the hood, this config completely frees up your GPU headroom:
lightIntensity = 0). You will still see the beautiful visual lightning sheets flashing in the sky, but they won't cause annoying FPS drops anymore.specularStrength = 0). Rain will look clean and flat, preventing your GPU from choking during heavy downpours. This pack contains three optimized configuration files that overwrite the heavy default settings:
1. lightning.cfg - Disables dynamic storm lighting.
2. droplets.cfg - Disables performance-crushing droplet reflections.
3. particleFields.cfg - Optimizes weather particle counts for smoother rendering.
Dependency: This tweak requires the original mod to be installed first: * Blackrack's EVE Volumetric Clouds (Stock Volumetric Clouds configurations).
Easy Installation Steps:
1. Download the True Volumetric Clouds - Low End PC Lag Fix.zip file.
2. Extract the files on your computer.
3. Paste and overwrite them into your existing cloud mod directory:
GameData/True Volumetric Clouds - Low End PC Lag Fix
4. Boot up the game, fly into a storm, and enjoy your buttery-smooth 60 FPS!

update In the future, I will continue to reduce cloud cover on the other planets.
