0.8.1 Major Update

New Features

Parking Brake When standing still on a hull, a joint locks the kerbal in place after a short delay. Configurable max G-load before it breaks (0 = unbreakable). A screen message appears when it breaks from G-forces.

EVA Construction Mode on Hull Enter and exit construction mode without dismounting. Welding also works from hull.

Flag Planting on Hull (experimental, off by default) Plant flags on vessel hulls. The flag moves with the vessel. Enable in settings, save before trying it.

LOCKED Camera Mode New dampened boom camera when in LOCKED mode on a hull. Tracks hull rotation smoothly, blends in/out when engaging/disengaging. Better for working on moving vessels.

Tech Tree Unlock Boots now require the Advanced Exploration node in Career/Science mode.

Helmet Off in Vacuum (opt-in) Settings option to bypass the helmet safety check. For roleplay/screenshots.

Kerbalism Support Boots drain ~0.006 EC/s when active if Kerbalism is installed.

Improvements

• Hull targeting rewritten — better hit selection, handles clipping, filters blacklisted parts properly
• Surface normal smoothing — orientation is now time-smoothed, reducing jitter and bumping on curved surfaces
• Walking anticipates surface transitions ahead using forward raycasts, smoothing the normal before you get there
• Velocity matching to hull surface — kerbal stays with rotating vessels better
• Jetpack thrust restricted to vertical axis only while on hull
• G key input now only fires for the active vessel, and is ignored when a text field has focus
• ModuleG3NoAttach — MM-configurable blacklist to prevent attachment to specific parts (solar panels, wheels, flags, seats, etc. blacklisted by default)

Removed

• Old debug overlay panel
• PAW boots toggle
