WARNING:HAVE DISCOVERED THAT LEFT OVER KSP WHEEL PATCH DISABLES WHEELS IF YOU HAVE IT INSTALLED. PLEASE GO INTO GameData\KerbinRover\Parts\ AND DELETE KSPWheelPatch.cfg Kerbin Rover Redux is a refreshing of the original and excellent Kerbin Rover mod by Tiktaalik Dreaming. It has been released with their blessing. It adds features and changes to bring it up to date for the latest KSP. Configuration and texturing was done by me ColdJ, with technical support from the Forum member "warro", making it possible to use Squad's stock "Part Variant" module to change skins in game, rather than Firespitter and to make the headlights light up. Creative input was also contributed by "caerfinon". It now has 17 different skins for the Rover, 16 for the military wheels and their cosmetic spares, and 16 for the mud wheels and their cosmetic spares. The fuel can has 5 different skins and the ability to carry liquid fuel or water. (you can technically put both in together but oil and water don't mix well). The fuel cans can be removed by an engineer out in the field and then welded somewhere else. The cosmetic spares now have more purpose than just look nice. They have been given the ability to have their mass adjusted in the SPH and have a calibrated offset so that if you load heavy things on the roof you can put 1 on the front hood to adjust your COM below your wheels centre hub. They now have node attachment points to make it easier to attach them to the new node attachment points on the hood and on the rear door. They also can be removed by an engineer to be moved.Drive wheels have not been given this ability as the system messes them up when you try to reattach. The front bar and roof rack now have 3 variants, black, silver and weathered.The scale of the Rover has been increased slightly over the original and will look more natural compared to vehicles like those in ColdWarAerospace and Grounded Modular Vehicles.The Rover now has a small turbine running an alternator to keep the battery topped up and if you stage it on and increase the throttle you will get a reasonable engine sound.The rover has been given 4 inventory slots and can carry more science results for field research work. It has a small reaction wheel so that if you do roll it you should be able to right it again. I hope you will enjoy using Tiktaalik Dreaming's beautifully detailed model as much as I do.
