This mod was originally made by Eldwen on the Factorio forums, however he has since abandoned it and I have taken over development of it.
It adds 4 new types of aircraft into the game, each with their own specialty!
Gunship: The gunship is a balanced aircraft for when you can't decide which one to take. It has a decent amount of cargo slots, fuel, and weaponry, while not being too slow. Jet: The jet is a VERY quick aircraft, built for getting somewhere far away, very quickly (top speed is ~650km/h!). Cargo: The cargo plane is a relatively slow moving aircraft with high fuel consumption, but it has a quite large cargo bay for transporting things over long distances, and where trains are not possible, or simply not efficient. Flying Fortress: The flying fortress is a heavily armored, automatic-tank-cannon-wielding beast for when you just want to show those biters who's boss. Recommended ammunition are the high explosive shells also included in this mod.
All of these planes are unlocked through research, with the flying fortress requiring all other researches from the mod to be built!
