Natural Weather 0.5.2
for Kerbal Space Program 1.12.x

Weather that is seen and felt: wind and gusts on craft and smoke, clouds of its own where
real ones form, cloud light, rain, snow that lies and drifts, hail, storms with lightning and
thunder, hurricanes, fog and dust, a launch go / no go with a forecast, and a real city's
weather if you like.

INSTALL
This mod needs Keystone 0.9 or later, the base it stands on, a separate download:
    https://spacedock.info/mod/4665/Keystone
Copy Keystone's folder (Keystone) into your KSP's GameData folder, and the NaturalWeather
folder from this download beside it, and start the game. Without Keystone the game does
not load this mod. One copy of Keystone serves every mod that uses it. To remove this
  mod, delete the NaturalWeather folder.

USE
Nothing to do: the weather comes as it comes, mostly fair. Its settings (the weather held
to one kind, how often it turns bad, the wind, which worlds, whether wind moves craft,
whether lightning can strike, what is drawn, a city's real weather) and the launch go / no
go with its forecast are in the Keystone window: the keystone button on the game's toolbar,
or Option-K on a Mac and Alt-K elsewhere. Then turn to Natural Weather.

ONLINE
Only if you type a city on its page: the city's name is sent to Open-Meteo
(open-meteo.com) to find it, then that place's latitude and longitude for its weather,
every quarter of an hour while the game runs. Nothing else is sent. An empty box sends
nothing. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, under CC BY 4.0.

BESIDE OTHER MODS
Wind moves craft only where the Harmony mod (HarmonyKSP) is installed. Cloud light needs
the Natural Light mod; smoke in the wind needs Volumetric Explosions, and dust devils its
0.8.0 or later. Where another mod already puts wind into the game's aerodynamics (the Kerbal
Weather Project, Advanced Atmosphere Tools), that one wins. Where this mod's clouds are
drawn, EVE's clouds are hidden (its city lights stay; a setting), and Scatterer's sun flare
  goes behind them.

KNOWN FAULTS
The newest kinds are first versions: a tornado's funnel is smooth, a storm's tower can look
like a ball from afar, fog has no banks with edges. Lying snow is not seen from orbit. The
clouds cost frames: "Cloud detail" at "lower" draws them more coarsely.

WHERE IT WORKS
Made and tried on a Mac. Its clouds are shaders of its own, packed for the game's OpenGL
and built for Direct3D. 0.5.0 was tried on Windows 11 (Direct3D 11 and OpenGL, with
Scatterer and EVE): fair, cloudy and stormy skies over the pad, the clouds' shadows, lying
snow, the drops on the glass, towering heaps, a thin layer seen from inside it, alike on
both. 0.5.1's and 0.5.2's mends (C#, no shader changed) have run on the Mac only so far.
Nobody has run it on Linux yet.
