Far Ground 0.1.0
for Kerbal Space Program 1.12.x

Kerbin's ground drawn all the way to the horizon. The game draws its ground finely near
the camera and as a few big, coarse pieces far off: from the clouds' height the
mountains on the horizon are smooth humps. Far Ground draws the far ground again on the
graphics card, at a point every few pixels, from the game's own heights, decals and land.

INSTALL
This mod needs Keystone 0.9 or later, the base it stands on, which is a separate download:
    https://spacedock.info/mod/4665/Keystone
Copy Keystone's folder (Keystone) into your KSP's GameData folder, and the FarGround
folder from this download beside it, and start the game. Without Keystone the game does
not load this mod. One copy of Keystone serves every mod that uses it. To remove this
  mod, delete the FarGround folder.

USE
It is on as installed. Its switch, how far apart its points are, and how far the game's
own ground is drawn are in the Keystone window: the keystone button on the game's
toolbar, or Option-K on a Mac and Alt-K elsewhere. Kerbin only for now, up to 120 km
(above 100 km fading into the far planet, as the game's own ground does);
it checks Kerbin's ground is the game's own, and with a planet pack or another mod that
changes it, it stays off and says why there.

WHERE IT WORKS
Made and tried on a Mac, and tried on Windows 11 on 2026-10-20: on Direct3D 11 (from 2 km
up and from 100 km, with Scatterer's air over it and EVE's city lights on it at night),
and on OpenGL. Nobody has run it on Linux yet.
